Next door is the antique theatre greeting you. As you leave reception and reach the first terrace, or find yourself in the swimming pool area, the imposing Castle of the Knights of St. John across the bay will amaze you. And in the distance is the crystal clear water of the Aegean.

From what was once a fishing village, yachts slip anchor for a "Blue Voyage", shorthand for the exploration of a life time aboard hand-made wooden replicas of old sailing boats of the Aegean region, fully equipped, however, with all modern amenities, along the coves of a naturally beautiful coast, rich in history and ancient mythology. Bodrum is less than a two hour drive from Virgin Mary's house near Selçuk where she arrived accompanied by St. John, and the city of Ephesus where St. Paul once preached to the Ephesians. Ephesus where another of the Seven Wonders of the world, Temple of Artemis, stood is now restored to mirror its classic splendour.

Bodrum is a friendly place just to stroll. A walk down the winding alleys takes you past artisans who still craft according to traditions that are centuries old. The old Castle houses the world-famous Marine Archeology Museum displaying a unique collection of vestiges dating from 2000 BC, and the oldest known shipwreck.

The climate is warm enough to swim eight months of the year but comfortably low in humidity. The Mediterranean cuisine is fresh and wonderful. Unpolluted beaches of Ortakent and Gumbet are easily accessible, the latter being only two km away from the Hotel.

  What is the difference between a standard and superior room?
The major difference between a standard and superior room is the ocean view which is restricted in the case of standard rooms. The superior deluxe room has the best view and complete privacy with two private terraces and no adjoining neighbours. All rooms have either one standard size double or 2 twin (single) beds. We do not have king or queen size beds.

What is the distance to the beach?
The nearest beach is approximately 2.5 km away and is therefore beyond walking distance.

How far away is the town center?
One of our hotel's main attractions is the fact that it is just a short walk (10-15 minutes) from the town center and nightlife, yet far enough away from the crowds.
A taxi ride takes only a few minutes.Taxis are easily available 24 hours a day. All major car rental services are also available in Bodrum.

How far away is the airport?
The Bodrum/Milas airport is 40 km. away from our hotel

What is the distance to Antalya and Pamukkale from Bodrum?
Distances to Pamukkale and Antalya are 350 and about 500 km respectively which is too far for day trips to those destinations. Bodrum will serve as a point of entry into the Pamukkale region within which you may also visit Aphrodisias which is a major archaelogical site. You may want to plan your trip to Pamukkale without coming back to Bodrum. To plan further your stay in Turkey, we would recommend "Turkey" a guide book by Open Road Publications.

Our restaurant is reputed for its fine cuisine, reviewed with praise in The New York Times and recently in the Australian Gourmet Traveller, and is a member of the prestigious international gourmet restaurant association "La Chaine des Rotisseurs".

Dinner is served in a most romantic setting by the poolside, lit with torches and candlelight, overlooking the Bay and the illuminated Castle of the Knights of St. John.

Other than our a la carte menu, we also offer a daily four course set menu with two choices of main course for €35. The cost of dinner is half-price for children between 6 and 12, and free for children under 6.

The breakfast buffet consists of several types of bread, cheeses, butter, salami, honey, jams, olives, tomato, cucumber, fresh fruit, homemade cookies and cakes, fruit juice, corn flakes, yoghurt, tea, coffee, milk, eggs any style.
